International Media Festival for Prevention is open for submissions!

IMFP provides unique opportunity to showcase films and multimedia productions about safety and health at work, at the largest global gathering of OSH community 

September, 2019 (Toronto, Canada) – Submissions are being accepted for the International Media Festival for Prevention (IMFP)! The IMFP is an integral part of the XXII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, taking place on October 4-7, 2020 in Toronto, Canada. The Congress is the largest global event for the international occupational health and safety community, attracting delegates from more than 150 countries.  

The IMFP is looking for productions that have a clear prevention message and promote safety and health in the workplace. A great variety of productions are expected – from training films to feature films, from films containing factual information to emotional awareness videos. For example, the IMFP accepts films, websites, apps, web-based training, social media and software. Submissions can be made by national and international organizations or institutions as well as by agencies, filmmakers or individuals. Deadline for submissions is February 29, 2020.  

The IMFP provides a unique opportunity for participants to present their products and ideas to a major group of influential safety and health professionals from around the world. An international jury will come together in Toronto, Canada to decide the winners of the IMFP, and awards will be announced at the Congress during the Special Media Session on October 5. 2020. As well, all nominated and winning productions will be featured in the Festival Cinema, which runs throughout the Congress.

The Congress is organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) in partnership with Canadian hosts the Institute for Work & Health (IWH) and the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
